The Bowed Psaltery is a beautiful, ethereal sounding instrument which is as comfortable with Christmas carols as it is with folk tunes or other melodies.

The Bowed Psaltery shown on the right is made from American Walnut back and sides with a spruce top. The soundboard and bridge are also American Walnut. The instrument shown below is made with Mahogany back and sides. Woods are offered subject to availablilty.
The bow is made from Willow with prime grade white horse hair.
The instrument is supplied with a padded case, tuning key, bow, rosin, cleaning cloth and laminated tuning chart.

The Bowed Psaltery may be fitted with a soundboard transducer. The transducer used is a high output Ashworth transducer that amplifies well with a PA or mixing desk without the use of an additional pre-amplifier.
