This Tony Benson Dæmon guitar is an electric guitar with a chambered body. In its standard configuration the body is made of mahogany with a carved maple top.

The chambering is carefully designed to both lighten the guitar and enhance its tone while the solid mahogany and maple give a tonal versatility that is hard to beat. Variations to the tone and looks of the guitar may be made by chosing different woods for the body and top as explained below.

The neck is reinforced with carbon fibre for stability and has a double action truss rod for easy maintenance.

There is a three way switch to select the neck pickup, bridge pickup or both. Each pickup has a volume control which has an integral push-pull switch to enable configuration of the pickup coils in series or parallel. There is also a master tone control.

This configuration, together with the Seymour Duncan SH-2n neck pickup and SH-4 JB bridge pickup provides for a wide variety of great tones that suit most playing styles, including jazz, rock, pop, blues and much more.

The example shown here has no decorative inlay on the head, and abalone dots on the fingerboard, which is the basic inlay configuration. Decorative inlays are optional. If you would like inlay on your instrument then this can be discussed when you place your order.

This example has a flamed walnut top and custom inlay designs depicting dragons on the head and the neck. The dragon motifs were designed by Patrick Reutz.

This example has a flamed maple top and custom inlay of designs that are inspired by Celtic art, and partly based on inspiration from the Book of Kells. Please click on the images for a closeup.

Scale length	625.5mm (24.625 in)
Fingerboard radius	305mm (12") is standard. A different radius may be chosen, subject to appropriate choice of bridge. please ask.
Nut width	43mm
String seperation at nut	36mm. A different nut width and string spacing may be chosen. Plese ask.
String seperation at bridge	52mm. Variations to this are dependent on hardware availability.
Pickups	The neck pickup is the Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz pickup and the bridge pickup is the Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB. This combination is perfect for Jazz, Blues, Country, Funk, Rock and Heavy Rock. Other pickups and pickup combinations may be chosen subject to availability and suitability. Please ask.
Body	Choose from Mahogany, Alder, Plain Ash, Swamp Ash, Maple, Poplar, Basswood, Flamed Sycamore, Cherry, European Walnut, Imbuya. Other woods for the body may be chosen subject to availability and suitability, please ask.
Top	Choose from Plain Maple, Flamed Maple, Quilted Maple, Birds-Eye Maple, European Walnut, Cherry, Lacewood (London Plane), Indian Rosewood, Ebony. Other woods for the top may be chosen subject to availability and suitability, please ask.
Fingerboard	Choose from Ebony, Maple, Rosewood. Other woods for the fingerboard may be chosen subject to availability and suitability , please ask.
Neck	Choose from Mahogany, Maple, Flamed Maple Other woods for the neck may be chosen subject to availability and suitability, please ask.
Inlay	Logo inlay on the head is standard. Additional inlay is available as an option for the head and/or the fingerboard. You may chose from available inlay designs or have inlay designed to your specification.
